RENEWABLE ENERGY STANDARD (Sections 393.1025 and 393.1030) The act provides each kilowatt-hour of renewable energy generated and stored using an eligible battery energy storage system, as defined in the act, located in the state that becomes operational after December 31, 2026, shall count as an additional 0.25 kilowatt-hours, for a total of 1.50 kilowatt-hours for purposes of compliance. The act repeals a provision relating to the renewable energy portfolio requirements applying to certain electric utilities. The act modifies the definition of an "accelerated renewable buyer". An electrical corporation shall not demand any charge for service based on the costs of construction work in progress for any nuclear power generating facility.
